| Pageant Coaching by Lauren Clifton Comprehensive pageant training on the contestant’s choice of some or all of the following areas of focus: Modeling Add extra polish and command of the stage to your casual wear and gown presentations. Stage presence is a key factor to your success in competition. It is a visual display of your poise, personality, and charisma. By focusing on poise, posture, walking, stance, turns, smiling, head movement, eye contact, confidence, and composure, I will teach you to send a winning message to the judges and command the attention of your audience. Straight modeling only – no Pro/Am. Two styles of modeling are included in the session fee. Interview Preparation The interview portion of the pageant is the primary key to success. During your interview you will leave an impression that will influence how you are scored in other areas of competition. I will teach you techniques designed to make you memorable to the judges and keep you from getting stumped on stage. Our focus will be on interview etiquette, answer techniques, mock interviews and critiques, and the most commonly asked questions. The Questions to Help Win Your Crown sample questions book is included in the session fee. Our interview preparation training will continue to benefit you and give you a winning advantage for the rest of your life! Personal Introduction In pageants with a Personal Introduction competition, this is the phase of competition where the judges will get their first impression of you. I will help you make it a memorable one! During Session 1 we will put together your speech. Please know ahead of time how long the speech needs to be. This session also includes a cassette tape recording of your speech so you can listen to it and make any changes. During Session 2 we will work on the finishing touches and make sure your speech is a winner! Please have your speech memorized by Session 2. Paperwork Paperwork given to the judges is of critical importance. Often judges will already form a perception of you based on your fact sheet before the competition even begins. We will help you make what the judges see first into a vehicle for controlling the interview. We are not promising a crown, but with our pageant coaching, we can help contribute to it. The rest is up to you. Each pageant has its own criteria, but if you are seriously considering pageantry as a part of your life, you will need positive, constructive pageant preparation. We promise to be with you every step of the way! Please be sure that you meet the following criteria: • Ready to accept instruction • Able to sustain attention for a reasonable amount of time • Truly possess the desire to participate in a pageant and look forward to the event with enthusiasm, rather than with intrepidation or ambivalence. You do not need to have previous pageant experience to take advantage of our pageant coaching services. For clients age 17 and younger, a parent or legal guardian must be present during coaching sessions. Payment is expected at the time of service. Please bring your check or cash to each coaching session. Make checks payable to Elite Pageant Productions. $30 fee for all returned checks. Please bring shoes, paperwork, etc. with you to the coaching session. Pageant preparation sessions are held at our location in the Field of Dreams building (1214A Main Street, Gardendale, AL in The Garden Shopping Center).
